Yes, we spend a lot of hours in the agency, working for the clients and pushing to increase their presence in the media, that’s PR! but sometimes we do cooler stuff like last weekend…
We love our job and we love to travel, in addition all of our clients are international so we decided to go two days to Antwerp to enjoy the city and show a group of journalists how our clients work and give them a exclusive preview of next year’s highlights.
There are many reasons to visit Antwerp, it is not just the second biggest city in Belgium, it is also a melting pot for designers of every field (fashion, interior, furniture…), and the city where Rubens was born.
We headed to Antwerp on thursday night and met the journalists at the Julien Hotel. This classy and cozy hotel is located in the heart of the city, just some minutes by walk to the city’s main landmarks. Its design furniture makes the most oft he unique character of each room.
The following day we had our first meeting with the outdoor luxury company par excellence, Royal Botania, where we could see for the first time the new collections for the forthcoming year and consequently the furniture that will be filling the fanciest outdoors internationally next summer.
After that we moved to Ethnicraft’s main office in Boom, they also had amazing new stuff made from walnut and a wide range of wooden furniture that can fit almost any decoration style, modern and classic. Its sister brands Universo Positivo, Mr. Marius and Notre Monde were also there with some of the designers like Klarhoefer, so we got to know the philosophy and style of these brands more deeply.
Following some free time which we spent to chill a little bit and do some shopping, it was time for some fun and we visited the Graanmarkt 13. This concept store/apartment/restaurant is actually one of the hotspots of Antwerp. All together you can find the new trends in interior design, exclusive products and gourmet food. Certainly a MUST in your visit to Antwerp.
For the last stop of our press trip, we had and appointment at Domani’s new showroom where we saw their new collections which follow the former ones using beautiful bright colours and of course unbeatable manufacture quality.
After a small sightseeing tour trought the historic center accompanied by a stunning (but also unexpected) sunny weather, we had to say goodbye, but we’ll be back soon…
