We left Krefeld shortly after noon and arrived in Cologne Messe at 13:oo pm. After registering at the press center, we had lunch and headed to the halls in order to find out what’s new this year!
First we wanted to see how our clients were doing, and I must confess I was kinda excited, as I normally work with press kits and pictures of amazing furniture that I’ve never seen (weird right?) and I was going to see them live for the first time!
Our first stop was Royal Botania. The outdoor company has a lot of new items out this year and we could try some of them!
They have a huge and clear stand where all the new collections are perfectly displayed, from the new lounge set made of teak, ZENHIT, to the natural realism of the ABONDO collection
Next stop was the booth of the Finnish Woodnotes. It was a great surprise to see the combination of all or their carpets and textiles together, what an amazing explosion of colours! The new Twiggy table and the K chair with armrests were also there.
Ethnicraft and Universo Positivo were located very close to Woodnotes, their huge booth hosted the new walnut, oak and teak collections, and the combination of booth brands, Ethnicraft and Universo Positivo it’s just stunning!
Now it’s clear for us why the collection Mr. Marius is said to be everlasting and made for being given from father to children and so on, it’s authentic massive wood!
We loved this retro touch with the all tv and walnut set of furniture
It’s really difficult to visit all the booths in just one day, it’s a huge place and there are hundreds of different brands from all over the world.
One of the brands that we liked more was the Italian Cassina, with its reinvention of the 70s style
or this cool detail by Yomei
Despite we enjoyed our day discovering new items and scouting for brands, we ended up a little tired…
See you in Paris on Saturday!
