ARCOmadrid: raising the bet

Eloy Aguado / Ingenuity flourishing in times of crisis is not new, neither that Spain is a land of arts and innovation. Madrid may be regarded as the most unknown of the big European cities…

If it feels good, why can’t it be good?

Eloy Aguado / It ain’t new that trends have been shifting to past decades over the last couple of years. Pop artists have brought back the 80’s synthesizers while fashion designers are inspired by the Punk scene, and time has given the 90’s some justice, as they seem to be cool again.

En passant…

Annekathrin Koch / Of all the fairs held each year at the Frankfurt Fair, Ambiente is without question one of the most interesting and assorted events anyone may enjoy. More than 4700 exhibitors from over 80 countries compete annually offering the most innovative and cutting-edge techniques in consumer goods.

Maison&Objet: One and a half day of discoveries

Annekathrin Koch / Like in Cologne on the IMM my vists of fairs are too short to give an overall comment! When I was in Paris I visited three halls 5, 7 and 8 where I found new designs from young talents, some new emerging international brands and inspirations on modern living and trends.

My days at IMM Cologne

Annekathrin Koch / The fair started with the A&W award party for Werner Aisslinger, Winner 2014. The design magazin chose him this year because of his ability to work with different materials and also in many different fields like furniture, technical equipment, mobile cabins to live in and interior decoration for hotels.

Farewell

Luna Koehn / Time is flying and I’ll have to say goodbye…

I wouldn’t have thought that I’d stay here for only such a short period. But sometimes, life has different plans for you
